1) There has been success in the family. The first surgery with money from the Tranny Wish Foundation was completed in December 2006. Yay. $2900 was used from shows put on by the Tranny Wish Foundation.

2) The new goal is to get the Foundation up and running as a registered charity. Over the next few months action will be put into place to help make this happen and get the community involved in it's growth.

So as expected, as we spread the word about the Tranny Wish Foundation and continue to put on events such as Rock Your Tits Off, more questions arise about what it is we're doing. here is my attempt to put some of the dialogues I've had with people out there.

*Yes, the Tranny Wish Foundation is currently fundraising funds for one of us, who started the fund. When that fundraising is successful, we will move onto the next person.

*No, there currently is not a "list". It is the goal, but since we're on the first person still we haven't moved onto that stage. We have not yet decided how that list will happen. Potentially we'll put the names of interested people in a hat and draw them out to determine the order. The plan is that we will have some sort of open discussion to get together with whoever wants to talk about it and get other people's opinions about how it would best work.

*One of the goals is to put out information and raise awareness in the community about the price of surgeries and the struggles and obstacles people have to try obtain these surgeries. Many people have no idea about the cost of surgery and how important it is for people who have dysphoria with their bodies to get these surgeries. We have had to focus our efforts and have decided on top surgery but hope that maybe this awareness will help others in their efforts if they also decide to have fundraisers.

*We are not the only ones in Toronto, in Canada, or in North America who are putting on shows to raise money specifically for top surgery. Some are solo efforts and some are community efforts. We fully support other people in Toronto who are putting on shows to raise money for themselves. It is great if people put on really good shows. If the money goes towards a good cause in the community then it's even better.

*We are very happy with the success of the Rock Your Tits Off shows. A lot of hard work has gone into organizing them and they have all been fun, well-supported by both performers and by people who come out to the shows, and successful as every dollar helps.

*The Tranny Wish Foundation will continue after the person we're currently raising money for gets top surgery. We look forward to the prospect of continuing to bring a community together to help each other financially and provide great shows to attend.

We are happy to announce that Rock Your Tits Off was a huge success. The performers were all so amazing and great, and the crowd was beyond fabulous. Everyone came with such positive vibes and created a great atmosphere. People were supportive, generous, fun, and danced their asses off to Kids on TV.

Tranny Wish Foundation

So the ball is definitely rolling on the Tranny Wish Foundation. Word is getting out and lot of people are agreeing that this is something that needs to exist. The first fundraiser is set for Tuesday May 10th at the Gladstoner Hotel. Hopefully it will not only be the first of many Rock Your Tits Off shows, but will be the first of many in different cities.

The Foundation itself continues to be an ongoing project. We are working on a business plan and a new web site. We are also looking into the possibility of making it a registered charity. And we have received an offer from someone to be our accountant. So although it is a huge thing we are very excited about it and what the possibilities are for the future.

Welcome to the Tranny Wish Foundation. Soon we will update the HTML on this site to allow us to put links, photos and more info about what it is we are trying to do.

Here's the short version:

We are two trans dudes in Toronto, Canada. We want to raise money for top surgeries for ourselves and as many others as we can. We want to set this site up as a place for people to donate whatever they can afford and also as a place to advertise for upcoming fundraisers.
